IBS
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Compared to SIBO, this occurs in the large intestine. Similar to SIBO, this causes bloating, gas, diarrhea, stomach pain, cramping, and constipation.
Another similarity to SIBO, you can help the symptoms through your diet if you stick to something called the low-FODMAP diet.
One of my favorite books for IBS and low-FODMAP is “The Low-FODMAP Diet Step by Step” by Kate Scarlata and DeDe Wilson. Go check it out if you want to follow a diet for IBS.
In all honesty, though I do have IBS, I follow a diet for SIBO and not for IBS.
Again, I am not a doctor so I will not try to go into anything further. If you think you have SIBO, IBS, or something similar, please see your doctor.
